ERIBERTO V. AGUIRRE earned his B.S. Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas (1961) and passed the Professional Regulation Commission in 1962. On November 20, 1960, he married Julita M. Tolentino of Manila, with whom he has six children. Born in Roxas City, Capiz, he transformed from a simple provincial boy into a man of the city that built his dreams and changed his landscape forever. Truly worthy of respect he has lived an outstanding life to the fullest of his purpose.

A versatile architect, he executes varied design concepts at par with global standards. Having produced a distinguished bodies of work reflecting contemporary architecture, he was elevated to the Collegeof Fellows of the United Architects of the Philippines (2000), and APEC Architect Registry in 2010. On October 9, 2008, the Diocese of Sorsogon conferred on him the Papal Award from Pope Benedict XVI, “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice” in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon, Philippines, for ecclesial projects done for charity in the service of the Roman Catholic Church. It is the highest form of recognition that can be awarded to the laity by the Papacy.

An architect with a solid 54 year experience, he adopts in his design a harmonious combination of concrete façade structures giving prominence to continuous horizontal lines; use of glass curtain walls, picture windows, interior glass partitions; and advocates the use of roof decks to optimize space. The works of Architect Aguirre embodies humility yet vibrates deep pride in artistry and nobility of style. The products of his mind and hand serve as new frontiers resulting from an enriched blend of sheer talent, conscientious hard work and perseverance enriched with unequalled experience. What makes him more unique is that he does not only construct but build houses that become homes and building that become venues for nation building, as an offering of love and gratitude to the ultimate being, the Talent Giver who is greatest architect of all.

The enthusiasm and vigor exemplified in his works reflect his intention and purpose beyond shelter,and can only be appreciated by their influence to the lives of the people he serves. In his harmoniousrelationship with clients and colleagues, and the delivery of services, he has always maintained and upheld the highest standard of ethical conduct and inspired for excellence in the practice of the Architectural Profession.

He also believes that Architecture is both universal and individual; universal because it reflects the true expression of its time, and individual as it springs from the philosophy and thinking of the architect. In keeping with modern trends and advancing technology through research and travels, the architects of today has positively exemplified their extra-ordinary contribution to nation building and human society.
